We’re happy to announce that you can now pre-order our second album, “The Sad Thing Is, We Like It Here,” from www.shaimus.com!  The album will be released in January.

“But Shaimus,” you ask, “why on earth would I pre-order?”  We’re glad you asked, because we have a few good reasons:

1) You can listen to four songs from the album right now on the Shaimus MySpace page

Don’t forget you can also download “Turn the Other Way” for FREE from our site and watch the music video on YouTube

2) All pre-ordered CDs will be signed by the band.  Even if a thousand of you order it, we will subject our Sharpie-holding hands to all that abuse just for you.

3) Pre-ordered CDs are only $8; that’s a $2 discount, currently more than a gallon of gas.  It’s like we’re GIVING you FREE GAS!!!

4) If you order before December 22nd, you will pay no shipping.  That means the CD will be $8, no more, no less, no S&H.  How cool is that?

You need more random stuff from us, do you?  Fine, then!

5) Since the CD won’t be ready in time for the holidays, we’re created a nifty “Holiday IOU” that we’ll put on our site in the next couple days.  Then you can print it out and give your friends and family something that lets them know they’ll receive the glorious gift of Shaimus just as soon as it’s ready.

We’re excited to announce that our first ever music video is about to be unleashed on the world. Not only that, but you’re going to be able to download the song featured in the video, “Turn the Other Way,” for free!

We will be premiering the video this Thursday night (December 11th) at our show at the Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA, so everyone in SoCal should come and check it out (the show starts at 11pm, it’s free, and it’s going to be a festive holiday extravaganza). Then the following day (Friday the 12th) we will upload the video onto our YouTube channel so that the rest of the world can join in on the fun.

That same day, anyone and everyone can go to www.shaimus.com and download “Turn the Other Way,” on the house!
