I understand what you mean. I believe that Rock holds a specific kind of allure BECAUSE it’s subject to incredible change, a lot of different sounding bands are well known as ‘rock’ bands, but I think that’s why the genre itself is so fun.

When I think indie rock, I like to think that indie is doing to rock what the NWOBHM did to metal, which is bringing a lot of new artists to light.

Music is a grand thing.
